Egypt is a beguiling land steeped in ancient history, dating back thousands of years to the dawn of civilization itself. This enchanting land is shrouded in history and has captured the imagination of travelers for centuries. Located far up in the northeast of Africa, linking the continent to the Middle East, the country is characterized by a diversity of landscapes, cultures and ancient artifacts. Between the extraordinary pyramids, pharaohs, temples and tombs there are a host of natural attractions that add to the heartbeat of this captivating country. This is a land where vast desert sand dunes meet the colorful coral reefs and beach resorts of the Red Sea and where traditional feluccas drift down the mighty Nile – the longest river in the world. It is no wonder Egypt is considered the oldest travel destination on Earth. Come and explore it with us.

When is the best time to go?

The best time to visit Egypt is between October and April when temperatures are cooler. However, it is important to note that between the winter months of December and February – prime tourist season in Cairo – the crowds can be rather unpleasant to manage. Swarms of tourists visit in the winter which means you’ll be battling with long lines at the main attractions and finding availability at hotels might be more difficult.

We recommend visiting during late fall (October – November) and the spring (March – April). During these shorter shoulder seasons, temperatures are still comfortable and crowds are either yet to arrive, or are waning after the mad winter rush.
