Khwai Leadwood

Located in the community-run Khwai Concession of the Okavango Delta, the intimate Khwai Leadwood by African Bush Camps is a chic camp set under the trees on the banks of the Khwai River. The famous Moremi Game Reserve borders the concession, and occasionally, guests are lucky enough to witness hippos, elephants, and even lions cross the river. Guests can relish in game drives, walking safaris, and mokoro safaris during the day in search of some of Africa’s most famous animals, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and wild dogs. Eco-friendly at its core, with no permanent structures and light-tented materials throughout, the camp places emphasis on the stunning environment rather than the luxury of the property. In keeping with the personal and exclusive wilderness experience, the camp’s stunning design includes six conventional tents and one family unit. Modern components combine woven baskets and beaded decor to produce an authentic African look. All rooms are spacious and pleasant, and the inviting main area has a pool and other cozy spaces for unwinding in between activities.
