Our 12 day Bucket List Safari invites you to experience Gorilla Trekking and the Great Migration in one stellar itinerary. This trip will transport you to 4 iconic wildlife destinations in East Africa. Starting in Tanzania’s capital city, Dar Es Salaam, you will make your way north to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Ngorongoro Crater. This unique region is dense with wildlife who come to feed on the mineral-rich caldera of the extinct volcano with predators following in hot pursuit. With the acclaimed Ngorongoro Crater Lodge as your home base, you will have exclusive access to this premier wildlife destination as you sleep on the rim of the crater’s edge. Next up, you will venture further north and arrive at Nyaruswiga Safari Camp, located in the Serengeti National Park. Home to the annual Great Wildebeest Migration and the Big Five, you will spend your days here on game drives through the park, guided walking safaris and have the opportunity to watch the sunrise over the Serengeti on a hot air balloon safari. From here, you will travel to the Grumeti Reserve in western Serengeti and stay in the exclusive Singita Faru Faru Lodge. Along with world-class game viewing you will also have the opportunity to connect with the people of the neighboring villages and learn more about Singita’s conservations project, OP 7, an anti-poaching observation post. Lastly, you will travel to the raw African jungle of Uganda for the start of your gorilla trekking experience. Your base, Sanctuary Gorilla Camp, is ideally located in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to 2 families of Silverback gorillas.
On arrival at Dar Es Salaam Airport, a Ker & Downey® Africa representative will await your arrival and accompany you through the city to The Oyster Bay Hotel, a mere 40 minute drive away.
