Angama Mara

Overview
Opulence suspended in mid-air
Angama Mara sits high above the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve, where some of the most sentimental scenes from the famous movie, Out of Africa, were captured on film. Perched on the edge of the Great Rift Valley – one of the most sought-after locations on the continent – the lodge boasts breathtaking views as far as the eye can see. With exclusive access to a reserve that produces exceptional game viewing all year round, a stay at Angama Mara promises to be nothing short of extraordinary.
Days on safari are tailored to the unique needs and interests of guests and can be as strenuous or as relaxing as desired. Above and beyond consistently superb game viewing, guests can enjoy hot air ballooning, guided bush walks, gourmet farm-to-table dining, hosted photographic expeditions, a fitness facility, a 40-foot swimming pool, a selected exhibition of African art, apparel, and jewelry, and a sun-filled studio where neighboring Maasai women work on beading custom goods.
Angama Mara consists of two distinct, intimate camps, each with 15 tented suites. Each tented suite boasts an exquisite, traditionally designed 11-meter wide floor-to-ceiling glass front. Africology guest amenities, a selection of East African books, a stunning John Vogel woven screen, highly polished parquet floors, recognizable splashes of Maasai red, a charming drinks cabinet, separate wash closet, writing desk with plenty of charging ports, Wi-Fi and a butler’s lobby all contribute to the abode’s tranquil atmosphere. Not to mention that each suite has the same spectacular view of the plains below.

"Thank you for the best honeymoon we could’ve imagined! We spent 5 nights on safari at luxury lodges, followed by 3 nights in Cape Town, and ended our journey on a stunning private nature reserve. Everything ran seamlessly, and the team stayed in touch with us throughout. Words can’t describe how incredible the experience was."
