The new Kazungula bridge that has opened between the two countries, means that it is a mere 1.5 hour drive to cross into Botswana. From Kasane Airport, you will board your scheduled 1-hour light aircraft flight to the community-run Khwai Concession. It is a short drive from the local airstrip to camp, which is located on the banks of the shimmering Khwai river. Khwai Leadwood lies nestled amidst a forest of Mopane trees, boasting a modern design and high-quality interiors combined with prime game viewing. After your morning activity and breakfast at Khwai Leadwood, you’ll board your scheduled light aircraft flight to the Selinda airstrip, where a representative will assist you with your game drive transfer to Great Plains Conservation Selinda Camp. Located in an immensely game-rich floodplain with open grasslands, riverine forests and the Selinda spillway, the region attracts a diverse variety of wildlife and birds. Evenings can be spent enjoying a drink at the bar, accompanied by the serenade of frogs and the occasional hippo in the spillway.
