A sanctuary sculpted from sand, sea, and spirit

Set within 300 hectares of coastal forest, dunes, and white-sand beach, Kisawa Sanctuary offers a deeply private escape on Benguerra Island. Just 12 one- to three-bedroom residences are scattered across the sanctuary – each with its own infinity pool, direct beach access, and personal butler, promising barefoot luxury in total seclusion.

Crafted from woven thatch, hand-carved timbers, and sand-printed structures, the architecture fuses local tradition with innovation. Residences are fully solar-powered and each includes an electric Mini Moke for silent, self-paced exploration.

Activities are tailored and immersive: dune hikes, snorkeling, kayaking, whale watching in season, and marine conservation projects in partnership with the neighboring Bazaruto Center for Scientific Studies. Wellness is central, with beachfront yoga, holistic therapies, and a natural healing philosophy brought to life at the sanctuary’s open-air wellness center.
