Lake Manyara

Reading books are provided in the lounge area of the villa and there are also plenty of board games to keep you entertained.

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a representative from Ker & Downey® Africa will welcome you and assist you with your transfer to Siringit Villa, just outside the town of Arusha. Arusha is widely known as the gateway town to the northern safari circuit which includes the renowned Serengeti National Park. After you have checked in, you will have time to relax and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings at the lodge. We highly recommend a walk along the golf course where the first nine tees border a stunning lake with small waterfalls. All throughout the property, you can enjoy spectacular views of the neighboring Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro.

After a delicious made-to-order breakfast, you will check out and take a scenic 1.5 hours drive to Lake Manyara National Park. No northern circuit safari trip would be complete without a visit to the famous alkaline lake at Manyara. Here, amongst grassy floodplains, rocky outcrops and acacia woodlands, you might be lucky enough to spot the legendary tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a picnic-style lunch on the lake’s north western shore with fabulous views of the vast flocks of pink-hued flamingos along the shore line. After lunch, you will be transferred from Lake Manyara to Gibbs Farm – the first XO Private accredited property in this itinerary. Upon arrival, you will have the chance to immerse yourself in the rhythms of the farm and enjoy a sense of tranquility and well-being. Enjoy an extraordinary candle light dinner made up of delicious organic dishes and hearty farm fare. The following day, you will embark on a half day trip to experience the famous Ngorongoro Crater. This includes a Crater descent and a game drive in this pristine wildlife-rich region.
