Beginning in Arusha, the gateway of the northern safari circuit in Tanzania, you will stay at Arusha Coffee Lodge, located on a working coffee plantation. You will then move on to the exclusive Chem Chem Lodge which is renowned for its iconic wildlife that gathers around the many watering holes in front of the lodge. At Chem Chem Lodge we can arrange for a traditional Maasai ceremony complete with a Maasai choir to celebrate your special bond. This will make an extra special moment in time even more beautiful. On day 4, you will travel to the Entamanu Ngorongoro, located right on the rim of the crater with the most breathtaking views on the planet. Last but not least, we’ll escort you to the ultra-luxurious One Nature Nyaruswiga Serengeti, located in the heart of the central Serengeti. The Serengeti is often referred to as the ‘Big Cat Capital’ and is home to over 3,000 lions. Day 1-2

Arusha

Arusha is Tanzania’s safari gateway, nestled at the foot of Mount Meru with sweeping views of Kilimanjaro on clear days. A lively city surrounded by coffee estates and crater lakes, it offers a gentle introduction to the region’s landscapes, culture, and rhythm of life.

Day 3-4

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire is a hidden gem known for its ancient baobabs, sweeping savannas, and dense elephant populations. Far less crowded than its northern neighbors, the park offers a more secluded safari experience with rich wildlife and striking seasonal landscapes.

Day 5 -6

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro is a land of ancient drama, where wildlife roams freely within the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. From lion prides to flamingo-filled lakes, the crater floor delivers unmatched game viewing in a setting as spectacular as it is surreal.

In the mornings you can enjoy a lazy breakfast together which can be set up on your private balcony during balmy weather. We will arrange for a few romantic surprises in your room including champagne and a fruit basket. We recommend treating yourselves to an indulgent beauty treatment at the in-house Spa and lounging around the beautiful outdoor pool.

Arusha Coffee Lodge

Upon arrival in Arusha at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by a friendly representative of Ker & Downey Africa who will provide a VIP ‘Meet and Greet’ service before escorting you 1.5 hours to the Arusha Coffee Lodge. Here, you can spend the afternoon walking through the sprawling grounds of the estate and stop by ‘traders walk’ – a row of quaint shops that specialize in African crafts, carvings, Tanzanite gemstones, clothes and more. In the evening we recommend enjoying a fabulous meal in the gourmet restaurant overlooking the sparkling pool and water features. On day 2, enjoy a 2-hour coffee tour to see how coffee is grown, harvested, dried and produced. This is also an opportunity for you to purchase some aromatic freshly ground coffee to take home. Relax over lunch in either the main restaurant, Bacchus, or the vibey cafe bistro. In the late afternoon we have included a once-in-a-lifetime bucket list experience for you and your loved one. You will embark on a thrilling 1-hour light aircraft flight over Mount Kilimanjaro – the highest mountain in Africa! This adventure has an audio-guide that caters for most languages.

After a hearty breakfast, you will be transferred to Arusha Airport where you will board a light aircraft for a short scenic flight through to a local airstrip near Tarangire National Park. Here, you will be met by one of the lodge representatives from Chem Chem who will escort you on an easy 45-minute drive to Chem Chem Lodge – located on a 20 000 hectares private concession. After check in, you will have time to enjoy the perfect balance of wide-open spaces and untamed African bush and the vintage charm of the lodge itself.

Start your day with a celebratory morning safari activity and breakfast at the lodge, before embarking on 2 hour transfer to from Manyara airstrip and from here a representative from Entamanu Ngorongoro will collected you and transfer you to their lodge. Spend 2 glorious nights enjoying all the facilities and activities on offer at this award-winning property. A special bucket list experience on offer is the crater descent which sees you driving into the world famous game-rich Ngorongoro Crater – one of the epic wonders of the natural world. Back at the lodge, your private butler and housekeeper will set up romantic bush dinners and intimate sundowners. The uninterrupted views are considered to be some of the best in Africa and there will be nothing better than waking up in the morning, opening up your silk curtains and gazing out the floor-to-ceiling-windows in your suite. A highlight of the stay will surely be enjoying a hot lunch served at a private picnic spot on the Crater floor.

Enjoy Big Five game drives and walking safaris through the Serengeti with local guides who will provide you with insight into the iconic wildlife. Couples can enjoy a romantic picnic in the bush, and honeymooners receive a complimentary wellness treatment as well as romantic ‘under a canopy of African stars’ dinner. A visit to the Olduvai Gorge is also included.

Day 7-9

Transfer to

Seronera airstrip

One Nature Nyaruswiga, Serengeti National Park

After saying goodbye to the friendly staff at Entamanu Ngorongoro, a lodge representative will transfer you back to Manyara airstrip for your light aircraft flight through to Seronera airstrip in the heart of the central Serengeti. After a short mini-game drive transfer to an absolutely incredible location, a traditional Maasai welcome awaits you with singing and dancing. During your stay you can enjoy a romantic bush breakfast, and special sundowners will be set up in the most amazing scenic location with cocktails and gourmet snacks. The lodge is highly rated for their food, so there will be no normal meals here! A romantic bubble bath set up by your private butler in the opulent copper bath tub with sweeping views of the Serengeti. On the morning of day 9 we have arranged a safari hot air balloon flight that will see you soaring over the Serengeti at sunrise, followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush. It is not uncommon to spot lions, leopards, cheetahs and elephants from above. You can tailor the rest of the day to your liking, either embarking on a morning and afternoon game drive or even a full day 8-hour action-packed game drive with your guide.
