Game drives, guided nature walks and quad bike trails surrounding the lodge offer unique perspectives to view and appreciate the vast diversity of wildlife in the area. One doesn’t even need to venture far from the lodge to view the local residents as ostrich, oryx, bat-eared fox, aardwolf and jackal frequent the waterhole in front of the main building. Guided expeditions to the famous Sossusvlei sand dunes located nearby provide a unique desert experience and you won’t be left disappointed by opting for a morning hot-air balloon safari over the ancient, breathtaking landscape.
The main structures of the lodge have been constructed completely out of clay bricks in a North African design, with wrap-around verandahs that overlook the waterhole and surrounding desert landscape. 23 rustic and comfortable thatched and canvas tents, including three family units with wooden decks for ‘sleep-outs’ under the stars promises a desert experience that is nothing short of extraordinary.
