This epic Southern Africa safari starts from Victoria Falls and takes you to Botswana, visiting one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and exploring two prime wildlife regions in Botswana – Chobe and the Okavango Delta. A mecca for Africa’s iconic animals, game viewing here is arguably some of the best on the continent. Beginning at the iconic Victoria Falls, guests can enjoy a guided tour and scenic helicopter flip of the famous Falls, commonly known as Mosi-oa-Tunya. Then it’s off to Botswana and an exciting 2 nights in Chobe National Park complete with game drives and boat safaris on the Chobe River. From there, a light aircraft flight will whisk you off into the heart of the Okavango Delta to explore the waterways and traverse the surroundings in search of Big Five animals and other fantastic game sightings.
Upon arrival at the Victoria Falls International Airport, you will be met by a Ker & Downey® Africa representative who will assist you with your private transfer to the luxurious Victoria Falls Hotel. This premium hotel enjoys a fantastic location near the iconic falls. Victoria Falls Hotel is a historical landmark and it is here that you will spend the first two days of your journey. An African hospitality icon like this doesn’t simply occur, it evolves. Both elegant and sophisticated, this mainstay hotel has commanded this famous destination since 1904.
One of the world’s classic five-star hotels, Victoria Falls Hotel enjoys a prime location overlooking the largest waterfall in the world. The Edwardian-style hotel, built in 1904, oozes colonial decadence and grand luxury. Traditional high tea is served on the terrace with a view of the falls, and you can enjoy signature cocktails at Stanley’s Bar.
Enjoy a morning guided tour of the awe-inspiring Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. On the tour you can experience the Falls from at least 16 viewpoints. During your down time there are many facilities at the hotel to enjoy including a spa, gym, hair salon, and well-stocked curio shop.
Day three of your journey sees you beginning the Botswana leg of your safari adventure. After breakfast in the Jungle Junction restaurant in the hotel, you will embark on a road transfer from Victoria Falls to Kasane. The new Kazungula bridge that has opened between the two countries, means that it is a mere 1.5 hour drive to cross into Botswana. From Kasane Airport, you will board your scheduled 1-hour light aircraft flight to the community-run Khwai Concession. It is a short drive from the local airstrip to camp, which is located on the banks of the shimmering Khwai river. Khwai Leadwood lies nestled amidst a forest of Mopane trees, boasting a modern design and high-quality interiors combined with prime game viewing. It is the perfect second stop on your thrilling Victoria to Botswana safari adventure.
Khwai Leadwood is a luxury tented camp situated in the pristine Khwai Concession, right next to Moremi Game Reserve. With just 6 en-suite standard tents and 1 family unit, it is a truly exclusive wilderness stay. The main public areas include an on-site restaurant, bar, lounge, and swimming pool.

Evening meals are served outside on the large wooden deck and after-dinner drinks can be enjoyed around the campfire.
Next up, you’ll head from Khwai to the Selinda Spillway in the Okavango Delta. Selinda comprises 129,499 hectares of pristine wildlife habitat with some of the largest herds of elephants and buffalo in the country. It is also well known for its healthy population of endangered African wild dogs. After your morning activity and breakfast at Khwai Leadwood, you’ll board your scheduled light aircraft flight to the Selinda airstrip, where a representative will assist you with your game drive transfer to Great Plains Conservation Selinda Camp. Located in an immensely game-rich floodplain with open grasslands, riverine forests and the Selinda spillway, the region attracts a diverse variety of wildlife and birds. Evenings can be spent enjoying a drink at the bar, accompanied by the serenade of frogs and the occasional hippo in the spillway.
Selinda Camp is an exclusive camp in the Okavango Delta, featuring just three luxurious en-suite tents in the main camp. Each tent leads out onto a spacious verandah, complete with hammocks and a private swimming pool overlooking the wildlife-rich waterways of the Delta. For families, the camp offers a separate luxurious villa with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Enjoy both land- and water-based adventures, including twice-daily game drives in open 4×4 vehicles, boating in the seasonal waterway and guided bush walks in the pristine wilderness. The lodge is highly recommended for avid photographers, offering complimentary use of professional Canon camera equipment. For a unique experience, guests can opt for a sleep-out under the African stars.
