Perched high on a forested ridge in the Nkuringo sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge offers one of Uganda’s most dramatic wilderness stays. Sweeping views across rolling hills, volcanic peaks, and dense rainforest place guests at the doorstep of one of Africa’s most extraordinary wildlife encounters – mountain gorilla trekking.

Built from local volcanic stone and handcrafted materials, the lodge blends seamlessly into its surroundings while offering warmth, elegance, and a strong sense of place. Its elevated position makes it ideal for gorilla treks in the quieter southern reaches of Bwindi, known for fewer crowds and deeply immersive forest experiences.

Eight spacious stone cottages provide privacy and panoramic views, each featuring a generous sitting area, en-suite bathroom, and private veranda – a comforting retreat after a day tracking gorillas through the mist.
