Check in
Sasaab Lodge
Enjoy another world-class breakfast at Tortilis Camp or out in the bush before being transferred back to Wilson Airport in Nairobi. From here, you will fly in a light aircraft to the Samburu National Reserve. After your plane touches down, you will be met by a representative from Sasaab Lodge and transferred to the Moroccan and Swahili-designed lodge.
The rugged and semi-desert Samburu National Reserve is located in the Rift Valley Province. It was once inaccessible, which has preserved its raw and untamed essence. The park borders the homes of the nomadic Samburu tribe, allowing you to experience their age-old ways of life.
The Ewaso Ng’iro River cuts through the park, providing incredible game sightings due to the concentration of wildlife around the water source in the otherwise dry region. This brings about an incredible meeting of the biggest, fastest, and most dangerous wildlife in Kenya.
Experience the reinvention of the safari as you explore this wildlife area by camelback. Traversing through the arid landscape and areas inaccessible to vehicles by camel provides a unique perspective of the park that few have experienced. For adrenaline junkies, quad bikes are available so you can explore the park at your own speed.
