Ol Donyo Lodge

Ol Donyo Lodge

Overview

A window to the soul of an East African safari adventure

Ol Donyo Lodge is located on 111,000 hectares of pristine, private land bordering Chyulu Hills National Park. This game-rich region is wedged between Amboseli and Kenya’s Tsavo East parks and lies on the foothills of the great Mount Kilimanjaro. It is considered to be one of Kenya’s most prized safari destinations.

While Ol Donyo offers a range of thrilling safari activities, including fly-camping horseback safaris and helicopter flips, quietly observing wild game that gathers around the waterhole from their unique log-pile hide is an unforgettable experience. The waterhole attracts fringe-eared oryx, giraffe, warthog, large cats, and even Africa’s largest tusked elephants.

Ol Donyo Lodge is a beautiful blend of contemporary design and the rich Maasai culture. Each luxurious suite overlooks the rolling plains all the way to Mount Kilimanjaro and features a private plunge pool and rooftop terrace with a stunning star bed. This can be set up to enjoy a night under a canopy of African stars with the sounds of lions and hyenas hunting below in the dark. A truly exhilarating and breathtaking experience!
