Climb for Conservation – A Journey Beyond the Summit

In October, our Climb for Conservation campaign took our team to the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro — a seven-day journey where every step helped fund protective lion bomas through the OKOA Fund and African Bush Camps Foundation. Led by Sarah Morris and Julie Graham, the climb embodied our teams shared commitment to responsible travel — protecting livelihoods, wildlife, and wild spaces across Africa.

This remarkable expedition has now come full circle, with the funds raised supporting families and preserving coexistence in communities most affected by human–wildlife conflict.

Ker & Downey® Africa is proud to partner with Greenpop, a reforestation and urban greening organisation restoring ecosystems across Southern Africa. Greenpop plants trees, regenerates forests, and inspires environmental stewardship through hands-on action and education.

Through this partnership, your travels help seed lasting change. To date, we have planted 805 trees across Kleinbos, Overberg, and the Uilenkraal Forest Restoration Project — strengthening biodiversity, capturing carbon, and creating thriving habitats.
