Set on the edge of a pristine lagoon in South Luangwa National Park, Sungani Lodge offers an intimate safari escape born of family passion and local craftsmanship. Just seven spacious luxury tents rest on elevated decking amid indigenous trees, each with a private plunge pool, indoor–outdoor bathroom, and panoramic views of wildlife visiting the waters below.

Designed with natural materials, polished concrete floors, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, mosquito-netted beds, and ensuite baths – including outdoor showers and slipper tubs – the lodge blends comfort and serenity. Elevated communal spaces include a pool, lounge, bar, and photographic hide, perfect for unwinding as hippos, baboons, and birds circle the lagoon.

Days at Sungani are shaped around South Luangwa’s timeless rhythms: daily game drives, walking safaris, bush meals, and seasonal boat cruises on the lagoon – all led by expert guides whose knowledge brings the bush to life.
