Your Botswana adventure begins in Maun, where you will be met and driven to Leroo La Tau Lodge. The Makgadikgadi Pans National Park is made up of a series of pans. These pans make up one of the largest series of salt pans in the world – visible from space. No vegetation can grow on the salty pans but the rains in the area cause fresh grass to cover the fringes of these pans – an incredible ecosytem to witness. The lush green belts that form as a result of the rains are the perfect attraction for a large variety of birds and game which travel across the arid landscape in search of the water source. Leroo La Tau Lodge, translating to ‘Lion’s paw’, is built upon cliffs offering exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime views of this landscape.
