Arrive at Cape Town International Airport where your Ker & Downey Africa local representative will await your arrival and transfer you to your first accommodation, The Clarendon, Bantry Bay.
The Clarendon, Bantry Bay is nestled in a leafy exclusive Cape Town suburb with some of the best views available of the Atlantic seaboard. Check into your suite and enjoy the rest of your first afternoon at leisure enjoying your luxurious room and beautiful views.
Day 2-3 / Cape Town, The Clarendon, Bantry Bay
Enjoy a world class breakfast as you look out over the ocean before meeting your dedicated guide for the day. Whether you prefer to explore the city on the go or pre-arrange a set of activities for your time with your guide (something our travel experts will be happy to arrange for you), your guide will be equipped with a local knowledge of Cape Town. Allow your guide to show you where you will get the best views, food or experiences during your time with him.
For the 2nd half of your first full day in Cape Town you will experience an incredibly authentic cultural experience in Cape Town – a half day Cape Malay cooking course. Enjoy this journey into the life, food and culture of the Cape culture as you are hosted in a local’s home. Your chef will teach you how to cook traditional Cape Malay food before you enjoy the cuisine for dinner and enjoy an included transfer back to your hotel.
You will have one full day in Cape Town at your disposal, we would recommend that you let your Ker & Downey Africa Travel Expert know what your personal travel tastes and preferences are, and we will recommend the best mix of activities and excursions for the day to ensure you maximise the benefit from your last day in Cape Town
Day 4-6 / Sabi Sands Game Reserve, Sabi Sabi Little Bush Camp
Once you’ve concluded your stay at The Clarendon you will be road transferred to Cape Town International Airport where you will depart on a flight to Kruger Mpumulanga International Airport. It is here that you will connect on a second flight, directly to Sabi Sabi Little Bush Camp
Sabi Sabi Little Bush Camp is situated on the banks of the Msuthlu River, a concentration of water that draws a large range of animals within the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve, right to your doorstep. With only 6 luxury suites, each with a private viewing deck and heated spa bath overlooking the riverbed, ultimate intimacy and exclusivity is guaranteed.
Daily game drives, guided walks and world class cuisine are a few of the things that make a stay at Sabi Sabi Little Bush Camp special. On your first evening in Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve you will enjoy an incredible experience that will remind you how special the African night sky, away from cities and smog, can be. A night sky safari is included in the cost of this trip, where a trained professional will take you out on a stargazing trip while revealing to you the true wonder of the shapes and myths that the African night sky holds.
Enjoy your final day of game drives and South African bush – Sabi Sands Game Reserves’ gates open directly into the Kruger National Park, so the options are endless for your final day of wildlife in this beautiful park.
Day 7/ Victoria Falls River Lodge, Zimbabwe
As you round off your first week in Africa you will board a air transfer after breakfast from Sabi Sabi Little Bush Camp to Kruger Mpumulanga International Airport. Board a second flight from KMIA to Victoria Falls International Airport. It is here that you will meet your Victoria Falls River Lodge representative who will greet you by name and drive you directly to the lodge.
Victoria Falls River Lodge is situated close to the Falls, with easy access to both the Falls and the Victoria Falls Town (where many excursions and activities begin). This tented lodge will truly steal your heart with private decks and private plunge pools from which you can view the river’s flourishing birdlife and game.
If you can steal yourself away from your room there are numerous activities in the nearby area including game drives, bird watching, river cruises, canoe safaris, bungee jumping, king swings, helicopter flights, river rafting, zip lining and walking safaris.
Day 8/ Victoria Falls River Lodge, Zimbabwe
Today’s activities in the Victoria Falls surrounds will allow you to take full advantage of your short stay at the Victoria Falls. You will be transferred from the jetty, along the river to the Victoria Falls Rainforest Canopy Tour. A local guide will take you on a number of routes above the canopy line, each of which will show you a new, breathtaking perspective of Victoria Falls and the surrounds. Encounter the coveted birdlife and view the wildlife of the area as you travel above, below and within the canopy. 9 slides are also included in the tour, the longest of which will see you zip for 85 meters over the trees. This activity and all transfers are included in this experience.
Travel from here back to your Lodge from where you can relax for the rest of the day or allow one of our African Travel Experts to recommend other potential excursions that would work well for this location and the time left in the day.
Day 9 – 11/ Chobe Game Lodge, Chobe National Park
This morning you will board a road transfer, on which you will be driven across the border and into Botswana’s world renowned Chobe Game Reserve. Chobe Game Lodge is the only permanent game lodge that is situated in Chobe National Park. This game lodge was built in such a way to provide absolute relaxation in the suites and easy game viewing from the six luxury furnished viewing decks as well as the world famous Chobe boardwalk, which runs for 250 meters alongside the Chobe River and provides endless vantage points from which to view and photograph the incredible wildlife of the area.
Other activities that will fill your 3 days at Chobe Game Lodge include land and water based activities, morning and afternoon game drives in open sided 4×4 vehicles (included in the cost of this package), as well as enjoying the riverside bona, bars, lounges, swimming pool and in house spa at Chobe Game Lodge.
